Welcome to the site - it is updated fairly regularly, so bookmark it and check it often. Our first concert was a success! Congratulations to all the students for a great performance! Our Ninth Annual 5th Grade Band Invitational is coming up in March. Click the link to find out more information. Want to see videos of the Chinook Bands? Mr. Mahaffey has a "channel" on YouTube with various performances from CMS Bands. Here's a video of the Band performing with Bellevue High School Band on Band Night, Oct. 7, 2011. Chinook Band has a Facebook Fan Page. "Like" the group as another way to stay connected. Here is a list of some groups that perform in our area: Seattle Repertory Jazz Orchestra The Seattle Wind Symphony's next concert is Feb. 26 and they are having a competition for the school that buys the most tickets. Whichever school wins, the group will perform a music piece that the kids from that school are working on! To order tickets, you can go here. A great local resource for Music Ensembles and Lessons is MusicWorks Northwest. In addition to offering lessons and ensembles, they also have regular concerts. Here's a nice music history site about Beethoven, sent to me by some students who liked the Chinook Band Page.
